Teaching Faculty

Following a professional career in both dance and modelling which took Amanda travelling in Europe, she successfully set up her own dance academy in February 1994. She has trained many dancers to professional level and watched her successful alumni grow. In September 2016, Academy set up LPA College – a college designed to provide industry ready training for students with an already high level of technical training. Amanda is an Examiner and Fellow with the IDTA and lectures on many theatre subjects and is a highly active member within the organisation. Incredibly passionate about teaching, Amanda offers personal assistance to all of her college students, teaching them to aim for the stars and helping them achieve their dreams and ambitions.

Wendi Peters


Wendi is best known for her role as Cilla Battersby Brown in Coronation Street – a role that she played for over four years and recently returned to after seven years away. Her portrayal of this much loved character has led to appearances on many television programmes including Flockstars, Celebrity Sewing Bee for Children in Need, Celebrity Mastermind, Adrenaline Junkie with Jack Osbourne, The F Word with Gordon Ramsey and Celebrity Masterchef in which she reached the finals. Wendi plays the recurring character Cook Jenkins in Hetty Feather (BBC) and her other television credits include: Queen Shania in Hacker Time (BBC); Kelly in Sadie J (BBC); Marion in Crime Stories (ITV); 'Podger' Pam Jolly in Bad Girls (ITV); Out of the Blue and Cardiac Arest (both BBC).

Film credits include Gyppo; Cilla in Coronation St - Out of Africa and Emily in In Love and War.

Wendi loves cooking and baking and has started a blog diary, recording her recipes and kitchen exploits; www.wendipeterspuddingqueen.blogspot.com. She hosts the annual Cake & Bake Show (the UK's biggest baking exhibition) and does the voiceover for ITV I's daytime show Britain's Best Bakery.

For the 2014/15 Christmas period Wendi returned to the role of Martha Watson in White Christmas at the Dominion Theatre, having previously played it to great acclaim at both the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh, and the Lowry, Manchester. Most recently Wendi could be seen in the National Tour of Oh What a Lovely War and as Dorothy Needham in the world premiere of Hatched 'n' Dispatched at the Park Theatre, London.

Storme Playell

Vice Principal

Storme started dancing at the age of 3 she gained a scholarship and first started training at the Urdang Academy and continued at Masters performing Arts college gaining a diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre. She also trained in Russia where she learned the Kirov Ballet Syllabus. Throughout her training she gained all her Ballet, Tap and Modern Major Examinations and also her ISTD teaching Associate.

Storme also worked for Costa Cruise lines for many years in their Dance and Musical Theatre shows. Storme has been teaching all aspects of Dance and Musical Theatre for the past 15 years.

Anthony Whiteman

Anthony trained as a full scholarship student at Masters Performing Arts College, where he gained an Honours Diploma in Musical Theatre/ Dance, under the personal direction of Wendy Headford, obtaining his A.I.S.T.D in modern and tap dancing (HONS) and his Associate LAMDA (HONS).

A keen educator, Anthony has taught at many colleges in the UK including London Studio Centre, Guildford School of Acting, Tiffany Theatre College, Collins Performing Arts, Scene II Performing Arts and Northern Ballet School. Anthony has also freelanced as a tap coach for Billy Elliot the Musical and is a Lecturer at the University of West London (LCM).  Anthony has held seats as a judge at many dance events and competitions and is an advisor to the Dance World Cup organisation and the Artistic Director for the 2016 finals. Anthony is also the choreographic mentor for the Perfect Pitch musical Danny Hero.

Andrew Monaghan


Andrew started his training with Elaine Ferry and as a Junior and Mid Associate with Birmingham Royal Ballet, before graduating from Central School of Ballet with First Class BA (Hons).

Amber Doyle


Amber trained at the Royal Ballet School and Central School of ballet, Graduating with an 'A'-level in dance history.

Performance credits include Phantom of the Opera, dancing the role of a ballet girl and Meg Giry.

She performed with the Malmo Musick Theater in various Opera Ballets, including Nine and La Traviata, to name a few, as well as performances with English National Ballet Company in Swan Lake.

Commercials, music videos and film have given Amber the opportunity to work with artists such as Madonna, Duffy, Jessie J, Calvin Harris, Black Eye Peas, and Franz Ferdinand.

Amber has also worked with ICON Dance Company performing soloist roles for the Wella Awards Ceremony New York and a launch for Range Rover alongside Victoria Beckham in Beijing.

Most recently Amber performed in the new feature film-Anna Karenina Directed by Jo Wright, choreography Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

Adam trained at Performers College under Brian Rogers.

Megan trained at The Urdang Academy since graduating she is in a girl crew called "Poison" that won UDO world Championship. She danced on Got to Dance, corporate event like Move it, UK stand up, and many more. She also danced on X Factor, and Britain’s Got Talent, Up Late with Rylan

Commercial and T.V credits Includes Lily Allen on her World Tour "Sheezus" included performing on T.V. Theatres and festivals around the U.K America and Europe. Other artists include Jessie J and David Guetta.

In 2015 she studies all aspects of Dance in LA for 6 months where she trained with some of the world’s best dance school such as Millennium, Debbie Reynolds and Movement Lifestyle. Signed with an agent (clear talent)

Ben Jennings

Musical Theatre

Training – Ben Trained with s scholarship to the Urdang Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts

Theatre Includes – Currently appearing in Jersey Boys (understudy lead, Frankie Vallie, Picadilly Theatre), He made is West End debut at the age of 9 at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in Arriana. Other work in the West End includes Mama Mia! (Prince of Wales theatre), Kipper in Lionel Bart’s Oliver! (London Palladium), Gavroche in Les Miserables (Palace) and Eugene Onegin (London Coliseum). More recently, Hair (European Tour), Beauty and the Beast (Germany), Aladdin (Worthing), Sleeping Beauty (Theatre Royal Norwich) and Oliver! (Kuala Lumpar).

Other work includes – Jamie in The Diary of Me (Trafalgar Studios, and the following internet/television pilot for the show) and the lead character in the internet sensation Who Killed Summer, with a following of more than 10 million viewers. He can be seen on the video recording of Cameron Mackintosh’s Hey, Mr Producer!, which was filmed live before Her Majesty The Queen at the Lyceum, London. Joe ‘BBoy Unique’ Livermore

Joe – Bboy Unique – from Essex, appeared on Sky1’s ‘Got to Dance 2012’, where he made it to the finals with the crew that he runs - Methods of Movement.   He starting his training in gymnastics at an early age and qualified for a place in the British National Team which lead onto stunt work in films such as ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Green Street’ and ‘Bourne 5', as well as TV stunts in adverts.   Joe has dedicated the last 14 years of his life to bboying – teaching, choreographing and performing it all over the world. He has represented the UK in the World Hip-Hop Championships in Las Vegas.

Some of Joe’s dance work includes, dancing for Jason Derulo at the O2 Arena, featuring in an advert for Heineken, touring with Diversity on their ‘Diversities’ show and performing in the World Tour of Blaze.

Hannah Prince De Souza

Hannah trained as a scholarship student at CPA Studios where she gained a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre as well as her A.I.S.T.D in both Tap and Modern Theatre (both received with honours). Has been performing both in the U.K and internationally as a lead vocalist for the past 11 years as well as training and working as a professional dancer.
