The auditions will consist of a ballet class and a modern jazz class. Candidates will also be auditioned in singing and acting.
Sitting on the panel of assessors will be the Principal/Vice Principal, Artistic Director, Members of the teaching faculty and also a Casting Director/Agent (unique to this course).
You will be expected to wear the correct dancewear for the class. Pointe shoes will not be required for ballet.
You will be expected to perform a song of your choice. It is an audition requirement that auditionees do not sing unaccompanied. Please ensure that you bring with you the appropriate sheet music and CD track with you.
Auditionees will be required to prepare a contemporary monologue of approximately 1 min 30 seconds in duration.
Following on from this, all auditionees will be invited to attend a short interview. Applicants that satisfy our full criteria may be offered, in writing, a place at the College and asked to complete and return the registration documents. Upon receipt of the registration documents a place will be reserved for that applicant. Please note that audition fees are non-refundable.
Students applying from overseas are offered the normal audition procedures, however, applicants who find they have difficulty in attending may audition by video but should include supporting evidence of training. A report from your current tutor will be required.
